Hunter Allen Boyd Torjusen, Pascagoula, Mississippi — ICU Nurse at Springhill Medical Center, Passes Away at 26
Hunter Allen Boyd Torjusen, a dedicated ICU nurse and cherished member of the Pascagoula community, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born on October 5, 1999, Hunter was known for his compassion, commitment to service, and the deep love he shared with his family, friends, patients, and colleagues.
Hunter was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Charles and Jazie Torjusen; his maternal grandfather, Cooper Boyd; and his cousin, Cameron Boyd. He is survived by his parents, Richard Torjusen and Debbie and Vincent Jackson; his grandmothers, Catherine Boyd and Lillie Jackson; and his siblings, Carlye Brady (Bentley), Greyson Jackson, Jullian Jackson, Linda Jackson, and Anthony Jackson. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who deeply treasured him.
Hunter lived a life filled with joy and meaningful connections. He loved boating, building intricate Lego sets, spending time with his animals, and cherishing every moment with his family—especially with his brother and best friend, Greyson. His playful spirit, generosity, and unwavering kindness touched countless lives.
Visitation will take place on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Church on the Rock in Pascagoula, with a funeral service immediately following at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Rodger Bradley. Interment will be at Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point. Pallbearers include Grandlund Torjusen, Brantly Torjusen, Greyson Jackson, Jullian Jackson, Cason Gill, and Walker Matulich. Honorary pallbearers are John Trotter, Bentley Brady, Baylor Brady, and William Higdon.
Hunter’s legacy of care, devotion, and love will forever remain in the hearts of the many people whose lives he touched.
